With the advent of power bipolar transistors with isolated gate (IGBT), it will be possible to design on its basis powerful high-efficiency generators, which have considerable advantages as compared with generators designed on the basis of oscillating tubes. This new type of generator with extended frequency rating allows to replace oscillating tubes.
