“Prometeu-T” S.A. is one of the leading exporters of moldavian walnuts and walnut kernels, working in this field since 1995. It is located in Chişinău (Kishinev), capital of the Republic of Moldova. Set up in 1994 by Slănină family, „Prometeu-T“ S.A. now has a wide network of suppliers throughout of Moldova, as well as several acquisition points of its own.
Since 1995 the main activity of the company is preparation, cracking, selecting and export of inshell walnuts and walnut kernels. In that time we succeeded to convince our partners from France, Austria, Germany, Cyprus, Greece, The Netherlands, Turkey, and the Balkans of the high quality of our products and services.
For the last four years “Prometeu-T” S.A. exported about 1200 - 1300 Tons of walnut kernels per season.
Today "Prometeu-T" S.A. owns facilities for processing and storage of products with total area of about 12000 m². This complex includes refrigeration chambers with capacity of 240 tones, which lets us to preserve part of production in cold ready for sale all over the year.
"Prometeu-T" S.A. has about 110 ha of own land. In 2001 we planted 42 ha of walnut orchards. There are varieties of Moldavian walnut as well as the French walnut sorts. In 2008 we expect to obtain first industrial harvest. Besides walnuts we planted 38 ha of plum trees, suitable for drying and about 20 ha of other cultures, such as peaches, apricots and almonds.
