Microsys – Micro and Nanotechnology Determine the Future
Microtechnology does everything mundane in a smaller, more convenient and more multifunctional way: tiny chips and sensors are responsible for the steering in a car; nanotechnology prevents spectacles from steaming up, for example, or stains on textiles. The successful relaunch of the Microsys specialist international trade fair for micro and nanotechnology in development, production and applications at the new venue in Stuttgart demonstrates the urgent need for this groundbreaking specialist trade fair.
Microsys is held in parallel with Motek, the international trade fair for assembly, handling technology and automation and Bondexpo, the international trade fair for bonding technology, thereby creating valuable synergies. The focus of Microsys is on the topics of mechatronics, precision mechanics, microsystems and nanotechnology, as well as microelectronics. As such, it represents a type of process chain trade fair designed to cross industry boundaries, such as is unique in the industry in this form. The individual areas of design, material selection, production, test engineering and assembly of prototypes through to series production are presented in a practical and target-group-specific way.
The visitor target group includes researchers, developers and design engineers as well as people responsible for production, QS and acquisition, from supplier and user companies and establishments alike. As microsystems and nanotechnology – being an interdisciplinary function – will frequently be a common thread through all developing and/or producing companies in the future, Microsys leads the way for the specialist public in the future.
Microsys is held in Darmstadt as an independent specialist trade fair, alternating with the microsystems technology convention. In convention years, it is directly integrated into Motek, as the “microsystems technology theme park”.
